Manny Pacquiao’s offseason offer that Warriors star Klay Thompson can’t refuse
Eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao has been busy preparing for his fight with Erroll Spence Jr. on August 21. He’s had quite a few visitors in his Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, but few have been bigger than Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson.
Apparently, Pacquiao and Thompson cut a deal that’s going to be beneficial for both of them:

Pacquiao is a huge Warriors fan which explains why he’s smiling from ear to ear in the photos above. It’s also not everyday that you get shooting lessons from one of the greatest shooters the sport has ever seen. In case you didn’t know, aside from being a Senator in his home country of the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao also had a brief stint in the domestic professional basketball league. He’s certainly upping his credentials on the court after this meeting with the Dubs star.
As for Thompson, it looks like Pacquiao’s offer was one that he simply could not refuse. Much like Klay’s success on the basketball court, Pacquiao is an absolute legend in the sport of boxing. I’m sure that whatever pointers he had for Klay will have a significant impact on the Warriors shooting guard’s boxing skills.
Klay Thompson is a pretty chill dude and he’s not exactly the type who gets into fights in the NBA. Then again, it seems like he’s now ready for that exact eventuality if so required. Players from around the league should now think twice about squaring off against the Warriors star.
