Michael Beasley joined the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason, and he is certainly not afraid to voice out his basketball opinions. In an interview with Bleacher Report's Leo Sepkowitz, Beasley shared his honest thoughts on the controversial move by DeMarcus Cousins to join the Golden State Warriors.

Beasley offered up this lighthearted response:

“I think it was f–king bulls–t! [Laughs.] No, I'm just playing. I was surprised, but for DeMarcus, it was the best move. Coming off an injury, the market not being what he thought it'd be, him going there gives him a good chance to reevaluate what a winning culture is, to better himself on and off the court.”

Cousins is still recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered with the New Orleans Pelicans last season. His decision to sign with the two-time defending champions created ripples across the league simply because getting an All-Star for a one-year, $5.3 million deal is unheard of.

Cousins' injury played a factor in his decision to join the Warriors on a cheap deal, and Beasley completely understands that. Once Cousins has recovered, he can help the Warriors in their push for a three-peat. Cousins can secure a bigger money bag next year if he can get healthy and become a first-time champion this season with Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
