In high school, Golden State Warriors rookie Moses Moody played for Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal's AAU team. During his time on that team, a video of Beal surfaced of him giving the young group of teenagers a motivating speech. Moody was one of the kids in the video.

During an interview on the Warriors' Multiverse podcast, Moody talked about if Beal's speech impacted him moving forward.

“Definitely, that speech did. But that's just the one that the camera was on because we were pretty bad that year. He (Beal) came to every game. We got one of those after every game because he was so passionate. He was so involved in the program and team, which really showed his character, given that he came to every game and we lost a lot of games that year,” Warriors youngster Moses Moody told ClutchPoints.

Many players have AAU teams they sponsor. Not all have the time or even want to attend some of their team's games. When you have one of the best teams in the country, it's easy to show up and support your squad. But when your team is a losing team, and you still show up means you care. Beal could not have attended a single game, and nobody would have blamed him.

“But he kept coming, kept supporting, kept showing that passion. That was big. But the things he was saying it wasn't for the media. It wasn't for the cameras or anything he was talking to us. It was real. It was authentic. So you can't do nothing but appreciate that,” Moody said.
