Los Angeles Clippers combo guard Patrick Beverley says Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant is hands down the “best player in the NBA.”

Beverley did his best to guard Durant in the Clippers-Warriors first-round series. After Durant told reporters, “You know who I am, I'm Kevin Durant,” KD has been on a scoring tear for the Warriors.

Over his last seven games, Durant is averaging 39.4 points.

Durant is going to go down as one of the greatest offensive weapons in NBA history. The guy is 7-feet tall and has guard-like skills. There's nothing a defender can do to stop Durant other than pray he misses.

Overall in the 2019 postseason, Durant is averaging 35.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists for the Warriors. The two-time Finals MVP is shooting 51.5 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from beyond the arc and 91.7 percent from the free-throw line.

In the series against Beverley and the Clippers, KD scored 50 points in Game 6. Beverley is one of the best one-on-one defenders in the league and got in the head of Durant in Games 1 and 2.

Durant woke up after Game 2 and reminded everyone he is the best player in the entire NBA. The Warriors are fortunate to have KD because Stephen Curry hasn't looked like himself lately.
