Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has missed their last nine games this season. Its effects can be felt by the reigning back-to-back titleholders as they seemingly lost their winning form.

The two-time Most Valuable Player is currently recovering from a groin strain that he suffered on Nov. 8 against the Brooklyn Nets.

His recovery phase, however,  is making progress. According to Marc J.Spears of ESPN, Curry will return to practice Tuesday.

Curry's presence on the court is deeply missed by his team. They've lost five of nine games without him. Over that stretch, the Warriors experienced their first four-game skid under head coach Steve Kerr.

The Warriors also lost forward Draymond Green, who was a vital piece in their team's defense.

Yet, their younger players were given the opportunity to showcase their talent and were able to help snap their losing streak Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors got back on their feet as a result, and are looking to revitalize their strong play.

Their 14-7 record was their worst through the first 21 games since Kerr took over in 2014. They are currently second in a stacked Western Conference behind the Los Angeles Clippers, who are the current top team at 13-6.

The five-time All-Star is still a solid contributor to his team. He is averaging 29.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game through 12 games this season.
