Golden State Warriors superstars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are undoubtedly two of the best shooters of this generation, and possibly of all-time. The high-scoring pair has been synonymous with one another, forming “The Splash Brothers” duo that has punished opposing defenses with their limitless range over the last few seasons.

Curry, who is still nursing a left wrist injury he sustained back in October, was recently in attendance to watch the Pac 12 Men's Basketball Match between Oregon State and Washington State. Asked if his career would have been the same without Thompson, the two-time MVP admitted that Klay's arrival certainly elevated his play to a whole new level.

“No, not a chance. Situation is everything. You draft a guy like Klay from Washington State with so much potential… us being able to develop together with Draymond, Shaun, Andre & the guys that have been there since day 1, it's truly special.”

Stephen Curry was not a highly-touted prospect when he entered the league in 2009 after four years in Davidson. He was deemed too small to be a two-guard while lacking the playmaking skills of a true point guard. After ankle issues plagued him in his first three seasons in the league, Curry emerged as a true superstar in the 2012-13 season, as Thompson also found his footing as one of the best two-way guards in the league.

Curry and Thompson have since won three championships together and have a combined 11 All-Star appearances between them.

Both are currently dealing with injuries in the 2019-20 NBA regular season, Curry and Thompson's absence has certainly devastated the once formidable Golden State franchise. The Warriors are currently the cellar-dwellers of the Western Conference, floundering at the bottom with a putrid 9-34 record.
