Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is a “Girl Dad.” So he had reason to be inspired watching Inauguration Day proceedings Wednesday morning. Vice President Kamala Harris was officially sworn in as the first female VP in United States history, a truly historic moment for the country. Curry reacted on Twitter, calling it a “moment for my kids to see.”

Maybe Curry's daughters, Riley and Ryan, will one day look back at January 20, 2021 as a day of tremendous inspiration.

Curry was an adamant supporter of the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket during the presidential campaign.

The two-time MVP, along with his wife, Ayesha, issued a statement of support for Biden-Harris during the Democratic National Convention. The Warriors superstar also placed a heavy emphasis on voting prior to Election Day.

The Warriors also gifted Harris with a “Madame VP” jersey ahead of Inauguration Day, along with a video tribute featuring more congratulations from Curry:

“Madame Vice President, I’m not saying that you’ve got to put this up in your office at the White House, but it’d probably a good idea,” Warriors star Stephen Curry said, via the Mercury News. “Congratulations on blazing your own path. We’re all rooting and supporting you the whole way.”

With Biden and Harris taking office on Wednesday, Curry took time to reflect on the importance of the occasion, with a Black woman being sworn in as Vice President.

Curry himself has also gotten right back to inspiring the youth with his play on the court, in addition to his activism off the floor.
