Stephen Curry had a more passive take than his teammate Kevin Durant, noting the back-and-forth between TNT analyst Charles Barkley and teammate Draymond Green is just a part of what will take place in the entertainment business.

“Draymond handled it amazingly,” said Curry, when asked about their tiff, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “When it comes to people with microphones and on screen or whatever, can’t take that stuff too seriously because most of it is for show.”

Curry seems to understand the entertainment side of the NBA and the TV networks that surround it; but so does his coach Steve Kerr, who worked for TNT before getting his shot at a head coaching gig with the Golden State Warriors in 2014.

“I didn’t take it very seriously,” Kerr said of Barkley’s stated desire to punch Green in the face. “It’s just Charles.”

“Charles is so good at his job. I know he apologized and stuff but I didn’t think it was a big deal. That’s the reason that show (“Inside the NBA”) is so great, because it’s humor. They’re going to say stuff that other people won’t say. But you can’t take them seriously… I don’t think Draymond was too offended ultimately. Just part of it.”

While both men have played their part into the media circus, Green is ultimately unaffected by it, having a Western Conference semifinal series to close out, while Barkley will likely go unpunished for his comments after his recent apology.
