Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are a monster third-quarter team. If you need any proof, then look no further than their Game 3 display where they just recorded a seven-point possession in the penultimate period.

With a little over five minutes remaining in the third quarter, the Celtics were up by nine points, 82-73. However, that was quickly cut to just two in a matter of 13 seconds after a series of plays allowed the Warriors to score seven points.

It all started when Curry hit a 3-pointer to make it 82-76. After which, Al Horford was called for a flagrant foul, giving the Warriors one free throw (that Steph also made) while getting the ball back. In the next play, Otto Porter Jr. made another triple to frustrate the Celtics and their home fans even further.

Now according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN citing Elias Sports, it is the first seven-point possession in an NBA Finals game over the last 25 years.

To be fair, one doesn't need the announcement to think it's some sort of record. Given how crazy the turn of events is, it would have been frequently talked upon if such thing happened in the past.

The Warriors outscored the Celtics in the third quarter once again, 33-25. Boston was still ahead going to the fourth quarter, albeit with just four points after leading by as much as 18 points.
