Stephen Curry's four-year free throw streak in the playoffs for the Golden State Warriors has come to an end in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

According to Warriors PR, Curry had a streak of 81 consecutive free throws made in the fourth quarter and overtime of the playoffs. The streak started way back in June 2015.

It's another testament as to why Curry is regarded as one of the best — if not the greatest — shooter of all time. His shooting prowess has single-handedly changed the game.

In the regular season, Curry shot 43.7 percent from downtown and 91.6 percent from the free throw line. These rank as one of the best in the season and of all time.

In the playoffs, where there's more at stake, Curry is shooting at a 38.5 percent clip from downtown and 94.5 percent from the free throw line, certainly superhuman numbers considering that all eyes are on Steph whenever the Warriors play.

By now, everyone knows that Curry can't be left wide open. Defenders have the difficult task of staying in front of him and at the same time, not being too aggressive to be called for a foul.

While it is true that Curry's impressive streak has come to an end, it's also clear that he's still at the peak of his career. He could start a brand new streak anytime he wants.
