Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry might be the best shooter to ever live, but he's also criticized rather frequently about how he changed the NBA. He's made the league shooter-friendly over the last decade, with players chucking up triples at a higher rate than we've ever seen in the Association.

That being said, there has been no shortage of hate for the Warriors guard, who receives lots of messages on social media about how he ruined basketball. Steph recently sat down with The Athletic and fired back at the haters, making his own case for how he actually helped the sport evolve.

“I’ll get tagged on something on social media, like, ‘You ruined the game,’” the Warriors veteran told The Athletic. “Anybody who knows basketball knows where I stand on that. It’s an amazing way to play the game. It opens up the creative. Everybody loves to shoot the ball. But you can’t skip the work and years and years and years and years of reps that I put in and everybody on this level has. So, don’t skip that process. It is a fun way to play, and it’s dope to know that everybody feels an attachment to it.

“People are going to talk shit. Hate and love and criticism and celebration — everything. That’s why I stay so even keel.”

Curry is now the three-point king, recently passing Ray Allen for top-dog on the all-time list in December at Madison Square Garden. While there are definitely people out there who criticize him for the way he's gone about being successful in the NBA, Steph truly believes in what he's done. After all, it's helped the Warriors win several titles and make him one of the most electrifying players around.
