The coronavirus pandemic will not stop the NBA from holding its annual Jr. NBA Leadership Conference. With everybody staying at home, the NBA tapped some big names to banner a virtual event. According to USA TODAY Sports, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will feature in a one-on-one interview with renowned ESPN analyst Doris Burke for the fourth edition of the Jr. NBA Leadership Conference on Saturday, May 15.

Curry is the right man to headline this event given his popularity among kids. Likewise, no other interviewer would be better suited to go one-on-one with the the three-time NBA champion than the great Doris Burke, who has since recovered from COVID-19. The Warriors star himself was the first NBA player to get a COVID-19 test.

Obviously, the event, which will go from 12:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. ET, will happen in a virtual setting, with the coronavirus outbreak still limiting any kind of in-person social gathering. The NBA will livestream the conference on multiple platforms, such as the NBA app, NBA.com, Jr. NBA.com, and its various social media accounts on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

For the past three years, the league has held the Jr. NBA Leadership Conference, which aims to talk about pressing issues and opportunities in youth basketball, simultaneously with the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. A number of organizations, such as the NCAA, USA Basketball, the Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA, among others, also partake in the event.

Aside from Curry, Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, and Sacramento Kings assistant Lindsey Harding will also reportedly participate in the event. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver also plans to provide some remarks to open the conference.

The event will culminate with a virtual basketball minicamp, where the kids can do drills within the confines of their own homes.
