Once upon a time, Stephen Curry made a punitive agreement with his mother Sonya that helped him stay alert during Golden State Warriors contests.

Back in 2015 the Warriors star revealed that if he committed more than three turnovers in a contest, that's $100 towards Sonya above the threshold.

With Mother's Day looming, Steph Curry was asked during the Warriors media session about the old agreement with his mom. The two-time MVP admitted that while the monetary aspect isn't in play any longer, it's the virtual reprimand that still keeps him on edge about his turnovers.

“The checks stopped cashing a couple of years ago but she still calls it out for sure. Thankfully she wasn't at Game 2 because I would have gotten an earful after the game. But I think I've evolved outside of having to worry about a penalty for turnovers more so just the embarrassment of getting a text from mom. That's still on her radar.

Stephen Curry finished Game 2 with five turnovers, which would have awarded a couple of Benjamins for his mom if it were still in place. Perhaps the Warriors should look into revisiting the deal if it helps their superstar stay focused on taking care of the ball.
