Out for the second straight season, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson is doing the best he can to cheer on his teammates on the bench. The five-time All-Star is certainly bringing his “A” game, throwing fist bumps and giving out high fives as the rest of his guys hold down the fort without him. Unfortunately for Thompson, fellow Splash Brother Stephen Curry couldn't hold his end of the bargain.

As Curry celebrated a dagger 3-pointer in the fourth quarter of their 22-point win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Thompson looked to dap up the two-time MVP. Curry, however, left his good buddy hanging:

Poor Klay. And if leaving Thompson hanging wasn't good enough, Curry even reinvented what it means to truly be a Splash Brother. As you can see below,Warriors rookie Nico Mannion may have said something that made the three-time NBA champ spit out his water in laughter. Luckily for Curry, who moved into second all-time in 3-pointers made last Saturday, his guys were there to clean up his mess:

Nevertheless, it's the least they can do for their leader, who closed out the Timberwolves the only way Stephen Curry can. The Warriors superstar went on his signature Curry Flurry in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 points in a four-minute stretch to seal the 130-108 victory for Golden State.

Curry finished with a game-high 36 points on an 11-of-21 shooting night, with seven 3-pointers on the evening. The Warriors star is fourth in the NBA in scoring with 28.4 points per game, leading his team to a 9-8 record after a sluggish start.

The Warriors will look to carry this momentum over as they host Minnesota once again on Wednesday night. The Timberwolves have been struggling all season, especially without Karl-Anthony Towns, so Golden State should secure another win with a good showing.
