After scoring 34 points in Game 1 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday, Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry is now No. 24 on the all-time NBA Finals scoring list.

Curry has scored 592 total points in his Finals career. The Warriors are playing in their fifth straight Finals.

The Warriors lost Game 1 to the Raptors by nine points. Curry shot 8-of-18 from the field, 4-of-9 from beyond the arc and a perfect 14-of-14 from the free-throw line.

With Kevin Durant still sidelined with a right calf injury, the Warriors will continue to need Curry to score the ball at a high level. Over his last six games in the postseason (all without Durant), Curry is averaging 35.5 points while shooting 46.3 percent overall and 42.0 percent from the 3-point line.

This Finals is Curry's best chance at winning a Finals MVP. For that to happen, though, the Warriors have to win the series. All the players didn't seem that concerned after Game 1. After all, the Dubs are a team which respond to adversity better than anyone in the NBA.

It wouldn't surprise anyone if the Warriors win Game 2 in blowout fashion. You can count on Curry to score his usual 30-plus points. The two-time MVP is in a really good groove right now.
