Stephen Curry signed a five-year, $201 million contract with the Golden State Warriors in 2017, and it seems he has put the money into good use.

According to James McClain of Variety, Steph and his wife, Ayesha, have purchased a $31-million mansion in Atherton, CA in June. It was reported to be the most expensive home purchase in the entire Bay Area in 2019.

Atherton is the wealthiest neighborhood in the country. It is around 30 minutes away from San Francisco, making it the ideal neighborhood for Stephen. Most of the homeowners in the community are billionaires working at Silicon Valley.

The Currys have quietly lived in the area for a couple of months now, but the closely-knit community got wind early that an NBA player is living in their community.

The mansion's description is something only mortals can dream of:

Renderings for the estate show a long gated driveway with off-street parking for at least a half-dozen vehicles. The drive moseys right past the imposing home’s front entryway and ends at a detached three-car garage with accessory living space in a loft above the vehicles.

Curry has been one of the most underpaid players in the league early in his career, but the Warriors rewarded him a contract befitting his status and position in the league. Sure enough, it's only time for him to reward himself for all the sacrifices and work he made.
