Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is no stranger to hearing MVP murmurs and chants about him. After all, he has won the award twice. Curry shared his thoughts with ESPN regarding the MVP talk.

He said, “The game speaks for itself… Those narratives make themselves as you go throughout the season, and my job is obviously just be at the level that I expect to be, and usually, that means you're at the top at the end of the season.”

In 26 games this season, Curry has been averaging 30 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists, while shooting an efficient 43.5% from deep. Despite his high level of production, he is maintaining his focus.

Curry mentioned, “I really try not to get distracted by that [MVP hype] because it kind of taints the moment. And really right now, if I'm doing my job, then I'll be there at the end of the season, and that will take care of itself.”

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr, who is no stranger to great players as a player and a coach, believes that Curry absolutely belongs in MVP talks, especially since his play has been out of this world.

This sentiment was seconded by Curry's Warriors teammate Andrew Wiggins. He had nothing, but praise for the dynamic guard.

Wiggins stated, “The stuff he does even with two, three defenders on him, how he still gets his shot up and makes it.” “The space he creates, it doesn't matter who's guarding him… He's on his own level right now.”
