Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry says it's “going to be an emotional ride” moving the team from Oakland to San Francisco.

The Warriors will be playing in the Chase Center next season in San Francisco. The Dubs have been playing their home games from 1971 to 2019 at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

“It’s a difficult conversation in terms of uprooting the team and moving to San Francisco because this is what we call home now,” Curry said in his latest Facebook Watch episode. “It’s going to be an emotional ride I think for me especially because I’ve been here, this will be my 10th year and all have been in Oracle arena in Oakland… the City was behind us when we were a terrible team. We would go into the Oracle arena and it would be loud and crazy and just passionate fans that knew what they were talking about.”

The Warriors' new stadium will seat more than 18,000 people and not only be home to the Dubs, but also concerts and other events.

Stephen Curry has been with the Warriors since 2009. The two-time league MVP is the NBA’s longest tenured player with his original team after the Oklahoma City Thunder traded Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets.

The Chase Center is roughly 11 miles from Oracle Arena. It will boast the NBA's largest scoreboard.
