Klay Thompson is back, and the Golden State Warriors defeat a very talented Cleveland Cavaliers team on Sunday night. The final score was 96-82, and the Dubs record improved to 30-9 for the season.

Thompson had 17 points in his season debut and the Warriors had 24 team assists. Out of all 24 dimes on paper, the one assist that didn't officially count was the best of them all.

“Canon Curry (son of Stephen Curry) presented him the game ball,” Steve Kerr said. “So it was a nice, nice moment. Everybody was just obviously thrilled for Klay and thrilled to have him back. Just – it felt normal. It's been a long time, two and a half years, but, just, it seemed normal to see him there and see with his teammates.”

The Warriors wasted no time getting his first shot up. He took the very first shot of the game, and the play wasn't drawn up for him. He saw the lane open up and he took it to the paint and got a tough floater to fall.

The crowd went wild every time Thompson made a bucket and his teammates kept finding him. Later in the game, Thompson dunked over multiple Cavaliers defenders and made a three that blew the roof off of the building.

It's been loud in the Chase Center all season, but during Thompson's first game back, it was louder than it's ever been with the Warriors fans going crazy. It was a special night that people will always remember. Then it ended with a special pass from Stephen Curry's son to end the night.
