SAN FRANCISCO – This year's Golden State Warriors roster is uniquely designed with old and young players. How they will work together is a mystery the Warriors and superstar Stephen Curry look forward to discovering.

“I know how we operate, and we have a crop of amazingly talented, high-potential energetic young guys who have a lot to accomplish in this league. As we hopefully can marry the two in terms of what we do on the floor every single night,” Curry told ClutchPoints about this new iteration of the Warriors.

With plenty of veteran leadership and young talent on one team, the Warriors will experiment with many combinations to decide a rotation. Battles in practice will be entertaining, and competing every day will ultimately make everyone better individually and as a team. Stephen Curry is looking forward to that.

“I like the challenge of it because there's a sense of urgency in training camp and early in the preseason to see who kind of steps into certain roles and who you can kind of count on, especially until Klay (Thompson) gets back. We understand what our rotation is going to look like, and the roster is going to look like the second half of the season,” Curry explained.

Since Thompson will miss time at the beginning of the season, the starting shooting guard position is available. Wings from 37-year-old Andre Iguodala to 19-year-old Moses Moody will be competing for the spot. Age won't be a deciding factor. The player who gives the Warriors the best chance of winning will earn the position. Then when Thompson returns, the process will start over again.
