Stephen Curry has been known as one of the NBA's best golfers since breaking into the league. Golf is Curry's offseason sport of choice, taking on as many Pro-Am events as he can — even after four lengthy postseasons and several basketball camps hosted during the summer.

While he has accepted invitations to the Web.com tour and the Ellie May Classic, among others, he's been forced to turn down some as well, including one from former President Barack Obama.

The two-time MVP recently told Bill Simmons on his podcast that he didn't have the time to fly out to the East coast to join Obama and hit the links.

“Barack, if you're listening, I appreciate the invite,” said Curry. “It's not that I don't want to be there, it's that I literally just can't.”

Obama recently extended an invite to golf with Curry, but the scheduling conflicts have made it a nightmare to navigate a potential trip to Chicago, where Obama resides.

Curry said “it's crazy” the opportunities he has to pass up during a busy offseason, mentioning Obama's invite as only one of the many.

The three-time champion is coming off four 100-plus-game seasons (2016-17 was a total 99, but topped the 100-mark including the preseason), which makes opportunities like golfing with a former president take a back seat to his offseason obligations.
