It's official—former Memphis Tigers big man James Wiseman is now a member of the heralded Golden State Warriors. With the Warriors ultimately finding themselves with the No. 2 overall pick in 2020 after encountering an injury-plagued and forgettable 2019-20 campaign, Wiseman will now join the likes of point guard Stephen Curry, power forward Draymond Green, swingman Andrew Wiggins and shooting guard Klay Thompson.

Wasting absolutely no time at all, Curry quickly welcomed Wiseman to Golden State with a social media post that came mere minutes after the Warriors formally made such a selection.

Of course, Curry missed an extended period of time last season due to some lingering injury trouble as the Warriors are looking to turn things back around in a hurry.

With Curry, Draymond, Wiggins and Thompson, who may have suffered yet another severe injury on Wednesday, all able to play around a major presence in the middle, Wiseman could quickly make his way into the Warriors starting lineup as the team's starting center. With the potential for Wiseman to serve as a young, energetic and prolific center for the Warriors in 2020-21, the up-and-coming big man could very well see some major minutes as a rookie—especially considering the fact that the Western Conference powerhouse will be looking to regain its health and find its footing early on.

Obviously the latest injury to Thompson dampens the mood a bit for Golden State, but the arrival of Wiseman should help ease the burden at least a tiny bit on Wednesday evening.
