The Golden State Warriors are on the verge of receiving a major boost to their lineup for Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs first round against the Denver Nuggets.

Stephen Curry, who has been out since March 16th with a foot injury, is expected to play if he gets through scrimmages on Thursday without any setbacks.

Via Shams:

This is obviously huge for the Warriors. Curry is the backbone of the offense and an extremely important piece to their title aspirations. The Dubs initially struggled without him, but they ended the campaign on a high note, winning five in a row.

The guard injured the foot vs. Boston when Marcus Smart landed awkwardly on him. That caused some backlash from many, including Steve Kerr. While it definitely seemed like a dirty play, Smart made it clear he had no intentions of hurting Steph.

Sans Curry, the Warriors went 6-6. He's put together another impressive campaign as well, averaging 25.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds on a 38% clip from long range. While the veteran does come into the playoffs relatively cold, it shouldn't be long until Steph finds his rhythm again.

The Nuggets won't be an easy out, especially with the likely MVP in Nikola Jokic. That said, having Stephen Curry back in the fold will be huge.
