SAN FRANCISCO — A Swiss Army Knife is a tool designed to make life easier. That's what Jordan Poole has done for the Golden State Warriors this season.

Thursday night in the Warriors' home finale, Poole failed to score 20 or more points for the first time in 17 games. He finished the 128-112 win over the Los Angeles Lakers with 19 points and a career-high 11 assists.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr couldn't deny how important his young budding star has been for the team, and after the game, he shared his thoughts on his season.

“Jordan has been amazing,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “He's had a fantastic season. He's filled in for both Klay and Steph when they've been injured. He's come off the bench. He's done anything that we've asked him to do.”

Poole is putting up a career-high 18.4 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game in his third year. These numbers could earn him the honor of winning the Most Improved Player of the Year Award when the season ends.

However, winning individual accolades isn't the reason the 22-year-old is playing at a high level. Poole is all about winning. He constantly tells people that's all he wants to do, and he has done just that in the 2021-22 season.

Going into the playoffs will be a new experience for the young guard, but he's ready for the challenge. Poole doesn't know what to expect, but he's always asking the veterans about the postseason. While he doesn't know how he's going to approach it, he's extremely excited for the challenge.
