As part of a recent interview with The Athletic, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admitted that he is open to the idea of experimenting with Andrew Wiggins as this season plays on.

Wiggins spent the entirety of his NBA career with Minnesota Timberwolves until this season's trade deadline, when the former No. 1 overall pick was dealt to the Warriors. Though it's only a small sample size, he's proving most of his critics wrong.

“Yeah, yeah,” Kerr said, via The Athletic. “He’s a great weapon to have, and we’re still learning how to use him. We’re going to experiment with some things the last couple months of the season.”

In his three outings with the Warriors thus far, Wiggins has turned in averages of 23.0 points on 57.5 percent shooting from the field (53.3 percent from beyond the arc), 4.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.7 blocks in 33.0 minutes per contest.

Kerr praised Wiggins' for his work ethic and defensive efforts since joining the Warriors, noting that he can guard the opponent's best player:

“We’ve been able to plug him in on the opponent’s best player,” Kerr said, via The Athletic. “That alone just allows us to set up our defense better. Because of his size and length, you can put him on the opponent’s best guy and match up from there.”

After leading his team with 27 points in Wednesday night's loss to the Suns, Wiggins admitted that he's happy for this new opportunity:

“Any time you enter a new chapter in life, you want to do better,” Wiggins said following the defeat, via NBC Sports. “You never want to go back to how stuff was before. This is a blessing.”

Wiggins is making the most of his new role with the Warriors. Let's see if he can maintain this level of play as the season plays on.
