Despite their shocking loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 5, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr reiterates his belief to his team.

The Warriors went down to the Clippers 129-121 after trailing for the most part. Kevin Durant gave the Dubs the lead with 2:40 left to play, but Lou Williams responded with a four-point play to spark what would become a 12-3 run for the home team.

After the game, Kerr was asked about the identity of the Warriors. The 53-year-old coach then responded with a rather sarcastic answer, emphasizing that they remain the defending champions.

The Warriors got a strong performance from Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, but they were still unable to close out the series against the Clips. KD finished with 45 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Curry had 24 markers on top of three boards and four assists.

To be fair, Steve Kerr has every reason to be optimistic about the Warriors. After all, there's a good reason that they won the Larry O'Brien tTrophy in the past two seasons.

It could also be argued that the Clippers are not the first team to give the Dubs a hard time. In the Western Conference Finals last year, Golden State needed seven games (and a stroke of luck) to beat the Houston Rockets.

Game 6 of the Warriors-Clippers series is on Friday, April 26.
