Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry had another sizzling night on Tuesday, albeit in a tough 108-103 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Curry poured in 37 points while knocking down eight 3-pointers. It's never just one player assigned the task of slowing down Curry. It takes a team effort to do that. New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball was one of Curry's primary defenders on Tuesday night.

Ball is one of the better defenders in the league, which means he regularly defends the best guards on opposing teams.

“Between him (Curry) and Dame, they're probably the toughest two guards you have to face in this league,” Ball told ClutchPoints.

Obviously, Curry's shotmaking ability and ball handling make him a nightmare for opposing players defensively. But basketball minds understand there's more to the Warriors star's success than that.

“A lot of credit goes to his conditioning. I don't think a lot of people talk about it enough. He's constantly moving. He can shoot it from anywhere. It's a tough challenge, but you got to step up to the plate and do what you can,” Ball said about the Warriors star.

Ball had a career-high 33 points on the way to a much-needed victory over the Warriors. It's is the second time this month Ball has recorded a 30-point game, and he bounced back nicely from a rough showing against the Dubs the other night.

These two teams will face each other one more time before the season ends in a trilogy game that will break the 1-1 season tie.

The Warriors plan to finish the season on a good note, and six home games to end the season might be just what the doctor ordered.
