Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is an avid Twitter lurker. The man known as @KDTrey5 was caught liking a tweet that fired shots at his former teammate in Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.

A Twitter user bashed the latter for needing another MVP and three All-Stars just to overcome LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers squad back in 2017 to 2018.

Though the tweet made sense in the context of the Warriors' dominant run in the past few years, Durant is now finding himself on the opposite end of the spectrum as he helped assemble a new Nets superteam to vie for another ring. He joined forces with James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and even Blake Griffin which made certainly them one of the stronger contenders for the title this season.

The Warriors had already emerged victorious against the Cavaliers in their first Finals encounter back in the 2014-15 season by way of a 4-2 series victory. However, after losing a 3-1 series lead in the 2015-16 Finals, the Warriors sought help from Durant in order to get back at the Cavaliers.

With the 2014 MVP on their side, the Warriors eventually became the more talented team as they won two straight titles in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Durant was even named as the Finals MVP in those two championship series that he played for the Warriors.

Kevin Durant has since removed the like on the said tweet but many fans were able to take note of the interaction which implies that he might still have some strong feelings about his time in Golden State.
