The Golden State Warriors have made plenty of moves during the offseason, bringing back every free agent they intended to bring back, and adding a couple extra weapons in Omri Casspi and Nick Young in a very pivotal summer of 2017.

But the reigning champions have gone above and beyond throughout the last few months and reportedly reached out to shooting guard Dwyane Wade after his buyout, according to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.

The call between the Warriors and Wade's camp was short-lived due to the lack of a defined role with the team, who already boasts Klay Thompson as a starter and Young as the offensive spark plug off the bench.

Wade wants to play for a championship contender, which the Warriors sure check the box, but he also wants to have a significant role for the team — rendering this as an impossible situation in Golden State.

The 35-year-old has an imminent deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers that could get underway as soon as Wednesday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The Cavs are willing to give him a starting spot, relaying J.R. Smith to a bench role.

Wade left $8 million of his $23.8 million contract with the Chicago Bulls on the table and will likely make the veteran's minimum of $2.3 million when he signs with the Cavs.
