The Golden State Warriors might add a familiar face to their roster for the 2019-2020 NBA season. The Warriors are already preparing for a tough grind next season, as they are expected to have a different-looking squad due to the injury bug that hit the franchise. And according to Mark Medina of The Mercury News, Jimmer Fredette will get a chance to audition for a spot on the Warriors roster next season.

Fredette is reportedly being considered for Golden State's Summer League team. Fredette spent a lot of time playing in China over the past several years before returning to the NBA late last season. The 30-year-old guard played six games for the Phoenix Suns, where he averaged 3.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game.

The Warriors are expected to add new faces to their roster for next season. On Thursday, the Warriors added a few young prospects after selecting Jordan Poole as the 28th overall pick, Alen Smailagic as the 39th overall pick, and Eric Paschall as the 41st overall pick in the draft.

Golden State has big decisions to make in free agency. Superstars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson will become unrestricted free agents this summer. Even if they sign both stars, they are unlikely to play next season. Durant sustained a ruptured Achilles, while Thompson suffered a torn ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals.
