Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant is reportedly more likely to leave the Dubs if they win their third straight title this season as opposed to if they are surprisingly beaten in the Finals or in the Western Conference playoffs, according to Robert Littal of BSO.

Kevin Durant can become an unrestricted free agent this summer if he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Warriors, something he is widely expected to do.

Since joining Golden State back in 2016, KD has won two straight Finals MVPs.

This makes a lot of sense. Durant signed with the Warriors because he knew he could win titles with the Dubs. Now that he has two rings and is most likely going to get his third this season, Durant has accomplished what he set out to do when he came to Golden State and can embark on a new challenge after this season.

KD has been heavily linked with the New York Knicks in free agency. The Knickerbockers freed up cap space to sign two max contract players in the Kristaps Porzingis trade.

There are rumors going around that Durant and Boston Celtics star point guard Kyrie Irving are going to team up in The Big Apple.
