The rumor mill keeps on grinding for the Golden State Warriors. Most recently, it was Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love who got linked to joining Stephen Curry and the Warriors. Now, another veteran All-Star has been thrown into the mix of possible offseason acquisitions.

The Warriors, who have missed the NBA Playoffs for back-to-back seasons, could use more scoring in their frontcourt, and according to Locked on Warriors host Bram Hillsman, the team could make a run for Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony (via Heavy).

Hillsman said it must be difficult on Anthony to see friend Chris Paul finally reaching the NBA Finals, a stage that Anthony has never seen in his own career, and a move to Golden State could help him finally get a ring.

With Kelly Oubre Jr. reportedly on the move, Anthony could be a perfect guy to fill the void. He could play the exact role he has played for the Trail Blazers, which is to come off the bench and get buckets.

The six-time All-NBA Team member had another productive campaign for Rip City this season, averaging 13.4 points on 40.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 3.1 rebounds per game.

With Curry leading the charge and Klay Thompson expected to finally suit up, Anthony could get easier scoring opportunities, as defenses will mostly key in on the Splash Brothers. It could be the most ideal situation for the veteran forward, who has had many miles on his 37-year-old legs.

Carmelo Anthony is in the final chapter of his career, and joining the Warriors for a chance to win a title isn't a bad idea.
