The Golden State Warriors just had a dynastic run in the 2010s very few sports franchises ever experience. With three championship trophies and five NBA Finals appearances under their belt, the core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green immortalized themselves in NBA lore. But could the end be nearing for their triumphant trio?

The recent statements from Warriors GM Bob Myers don't outright admit that. But they don't exactly instill confidence in keeping the band together for another half decade. Myers appeared on 95.7 The Game recently to discuss the makeup of the team in Golden State.

Via Alex Shultz of SFGate:

“Things are happening really fast now,” he said. “You used to have 3-4 year windows. We had that. That’s not the case anymore….We have to think about the future.”

While that's not really an indication of anything imminent for the Warriors just yet, a latter part of the interview poured just a little bit more gasoline on the idea.

“Name a few NBA players who've never been traded,” the Warriors GM said. “Is there five? Kobe was the last guy who played his whole career with a team. Joe Montana got traded!”

Some fans were quick to react to the Warriors GM's polarizing statements:

Is this anything right now? Not exactly. But it's certainly a disconcerting stance to take when your core is just about to launch its quest for another Warriors championship run. Couple that with the fact that the Dubs took two more project rookies to a roster that already includes James Wiseman, after reports that their stars wanted to trade the picks for veteran help.

Yes, Stephen Curry and the gang are all on the wrong side of thirty, with lingering injuries and deteriorating athleticism to boot. But given the history that the Warriors Big 3 has brought to the franchise and to the Bay Area, they deserve every shot to run it back until the wheels fall off.
