Stephen Curry makes sure that the cameras catch a glimpse of a statement he's making when he enters the arena. It's usually jerseys of Golden State Warriors ā€œlegendsā€ but once in a while, he mixes it up with an oven mitt.

Friday night is more of the same as he walked in The Oracle rocking the number 10 jersey of one of the Warriors' mid-90s greats ā€“ Tim Hardaway of Run TMC fame.

Hardaway was the third member of the iconic trio alongside Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin and coached by the ā€œMad Scientistā€ Don Nelson. The group was known to be early pioneers of a fast-paced small ball style that was much-maligned as a formula for winning basketball ā€“ only to be slowly incorporated and adopted as a staple in the modern NBA, especially when a team (in an ironic twist, the Warriors) won a chip using such a system.

There's no ceremonious reason for the jersey choice since Curry has already surpassed Hardaway in several categories a long time ago although the Warriors sharpshooter recently passed another Run TMC member in Mullin for number four in the all-time points list. Within striking distance for the 6-foot-3 guard is Paul Arizin (16,266) and Rick Barry (16,447) but load management may put a damper on those plans for this season.

Maybe next year, along with Wilt Chamberlain's 17,783.
