The Washington Football Team hopes to get back in the win column as they take on the Atlanta Falcons. This game could go either way, but it's a matchup the Football Team should win. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Washington Week 4 prediction.

Many believed Washington had the best defense on paper entering the season, but they've fallen flat so far. This franchise needs to step up on that end if they hope to be a playoff contender this year. Luckily for them, they go up against a struggling Falcons team. This could be the game that gets Washington back on track.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the offense. Taylor Heinicke receives another chance to prove himself after struggling in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills. Antonio Gibson has looked decent so far but could be in for a massive performance. Meanwhile, Terry McLaurin will look to prove he's a top 10 receiver in the NFL. With that said, here are four bold Washington Week 4 predictions versus the Falcons.

Washington Week 4 Predictions

4. The Washington defense shuts down the Falcons

The front seven is stacked and they should have no problem attacking Matt Ryan. He provides little to no mobility which allows Washington to pin their ears back and attack. Atlanta does have some solid weapons on the offense though, so Washington must be prepared to cover Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts. If they can do that, the Football Team should walk away with their second win.

3. Taylor Heinicke bounces back

He didn't look all that great in his last game, but the Bills' defense has been impressive this year. Taylor Heinicke has a much easier opponent in Week 4, which bodes well for his chances. We'll see how it goes, as another big performance could solidify Taylor Heinicke as the starting quarterback moving forward.

2. Antonio Gibson scores 3 total touchdowns

Antonio Gibson has gotten lost in the offense to start the season. He's had a slow start but that could all change against the Falcons. Gibson flashed his talents in his last game with a long touchdown reception. For that reason, Ron Rivera and the coaching staff should consider getting Antonio Gibson more involved in the passing game.

The Falcons might have the worst defense in the league right now, so Gibson should be able to feast throughout the entire contest. Whether he's gashing the defense for big gains on the ground or helping out in the passing game, Antonio Gibson should play a vital role on Sunday. Keep an eye on Washington's star running back, as he has a prime matchup ahead of him.

1. Terry McLaurin terrorizes the Falcons secondary

With two seasons under his belt, Terry McLaurin has had seven different quarterbacks throwing him the ball. What's most impressive, is that McLaurin produces no matter who is under center. He's known around the league as “quarterback proof” and should be in for a big game against the Falcons.

Atlanta doesn't have a single person on their defense to slow down Terry McLaurin. For that reason, Washington's star receiver is bound to have a huge game. We'll see how he does, as Taylor Heinicke tends to throw McLaurin's way often.
