The Washington Football Team will be taking on the Buffalo Bills in a tough NFL matchup. Washington has looked good so far as they chase a playoff spot in the NFC East. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Washington Week 3 prediction.

Many believed they had the top defense in the league before the start of the season. Instead, Washington has been burned through the air so far. They might be shaking off the rust for now, but Washington will need to perform at their best if they hope to slow down the Bills.

This franchise is built to be a playoff contender. The team just has to put everything together. Logan Thomas has served as a consistent tight end for Washington. We should see him act as a safety blanket for Taylor Heinicke in this game.

For Antonio Gibson, he hasn't been able to find the endzone despite running the ball well. He could be in store for a breakout game against Buffalo. Lastly, Terry McLaurin is quarterback-proof and performs well regardless of who is under center. With that said, here are four bold Washington Week 3 predictions versus the Bills.

Washington Week 3 Predictions

4. Washington defense shuts down Josh Allen

The Bills' rushing attack isn't the best by any means, so Washington should be able to contain Devin Singletary and Zack Moss. However, the passing game is a different story. Washington must lock down Stefon Diggs and the rest of the receiving core if they hope to win this game. That's a tough goal to accomplish, but doing so gives the Washington Football Team their best chances of winning.

3. Logan Thomas reels in 2 touchdowns

The guy has been incredibly consistent since converting to tight end. In fact, Logan Thomas is the second-best option in Washington's passing attack. He's a big-bodied target who plays more like a possession receiver. Taylor Heinicke should consider throwing towards Thomas more often, as he is a vital weapon in the red zone. Look for Logan Thomas to have a big day on Sunday.

2. Antonio Gibson finally comes alive

Antonio Gibson has been playing great, he just hasn't been given the workload many thought he'd receive. JD McKissic has a role on this team due to his skill sets as a pass blocker and extra receiver out of the backfield. Gibson is the top running back on the offense though and could prove that with a big performance against the Bills. If he can do that, the sky is the limit for Gibson for the rest of the season.

1. Terry McLaurin has another big game

Terry McLaurin has played with the same number of quarterbacks as Tom Brady has won Super Bowls in his career. Even though he's had seven different quarterbacks throwing him the ball, McLaurin has proven to be an elite pass option regardless of who is under center. Heinicke proved he loves throwing the ball to Terry McLaurin after targeting the receiver 14 times against the New York Giants.

Although this is a tough matchup for Washington, McLaurin will be a focal point for this offense. Look for “Scary Terry” to post another big game against the Bills as he continues proving himself as one of the best receivers in the league.
