Odell Beckham Jr. recently made headlines after refuting the reports that he wanted to be traded from the Cleveland Browns. Even though he intends to stay in Cleveland, what if the San Francisco 49ers traded for Beckham Jr. in the offseason?

When Beckham Jr. was traded from the New York Giants to the Browns, he thought New York sent him to Cleveland ‘to die'. While he didn't legitimately die, his numbers have taken a noticeable dive in his first year with the Browns.

In his five seasons prior to joining the Browns, Beckham Jr. had averaged 78 receptions, 1,095 yards, and nearly nine touchdowns per year. That included the 2017 season where he missed 12 games due to injury and only caught 25 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns.

As for his first year in Cleveland, the Pro-Bowl wide receiver has hauled in only 67 receptions for 910 yards and two touchdowns. With those numbers, Beckham Jr. is projected to finish with career lows across the board. Of course, that includes seasons where he has started in 11 or more games.

A nagging groin injury has prevented Beckham Jr. from being a full participant in practice for the majority of the season. At the same time, Freddie Kitchens hasn't exactly done the best job to get the talented pass catcher the ball.

One team that wouldn't waste any time getting Beckham Jr. involved in the offense is the 49ers. Prior to this year's trade deadline, San Francisco acquired Emmanuel Sanders from the Denver Broncos.

The addition of Sanders gave the 49ers a reliable wide receiver for Jimmy Garoppolo to get the ball to. Since Sanders arrived in San Francisco, he's been a seamless fit in the offense; totaling 30 receptions, 416 yards, and three touchdowns in eight games.

Kyle Shanahan deserves a ton of the credit for how he's been able to piece together a well-balanced offense. Could you imagine what Shanahan could do if he had a talent like Beckham Jr. on the field?

With George Kittle as the No. 1 target, San Francisco has the 13th-ranked pass offense. Forming a duo of Kittle and Beckham Jr. would be a nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators.

After this season, Sanders becomes an unrestricted free agent for the 49ers. Instead of re-signing him, they could surrender an early-round pick to replace him with Beckham Jr.

The thought of having Beckham Jr. line up against Jalen Ramsey twice a year is a dream come true for football fans. If San Francisco was able to land the 27-year-old wide receiver, the 49ers would be considered favorites in the NFC.

Along with winning games, Beckham Jr. would return to being one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. There's no doubt that Shanahan would display his talents by using him in a variety of ways.

In just a few years under Shanahan, San Francisco has quickly turned into a remarkable team. But the addition of Beckham Jr. would take the franchise to the next level.
