The Indianapolis Colts will host the Denver Broncos in a game between two teams at opposite ends of the spectrum. While the Colts are favored to win, Eric Ebron will come through with a big-time performance against the Broncos in Week 8.

The receiving tight end had the best season of his career in 2018 in his first season with the Colts. Ebron had career-highs in receptions (66), receiving yards (750), and touchdowns (13) last year.

However, those numbers came when the team was centered around throwing the ball with Andrew Luck under center. Now, with Jacoby Brissett becoming the starter following Luck's surprising retirement, Ebron has gradually been building a rapport with his new quarterback.

Through the team's first six games, the athletic tight end has caught 13 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Just last week, Ebron made one of the most spectacular catches of the season en route to a four-reception, 70-yard performance.

This week, Ebron will get a chance to continue his momentum against the hapless Broncos. The Broncos are 2-5 to begin the season and there's a chance their roster could look vastly different after the October 29th trade deadline.

Denver has given up 34 receptions, 326 yards, and one touchdown to tight ends through the first seven weeks of the season. Those numbers are among the best in the NFL. But that shouldn't deter Ebron from remaining involved in the game plan.

In the offseason, Indianapolis signed Devin Funchess in free agency to bolster their wide receiver position. Unfortunately, the former Carolina Panthers wideout was placed on injured reserve after suffering a clavicle injury in Week 1.

Despite his injury, Frank Reich has been able to keep the Colts offense afloat by running the ball, while also utilizing his tight ends alongside T.Y. Hilton in the aerial attack. Also, Brissett has been extremely efficient as the team's signal-caller.

The 26-year-old quarterback has completed 65 percent of his passes for 1,388 yards and 14 touchdowns. Additionally, he's only thrown three interceptions and is on pace for the most passing touchdowns in the NFL.

As long as Brissett continues to play at a high level, Ebron is always going to have a chance to score. Ebron's always capable of scoring a touchdown in the red zone. Currently, the Colts have the fifth-best offense in the NFL in terms of red-zone efficiency; scoring touchdowns on 65.22 percent of their red-zone possessions.

The Broncos have a formidable run defense which could cause Indianapolis to throw more. As a result, Ebron will be able to thrive against the safeties and linebackers of the Broncos on Sunday.
