Washington Wizards big man Dwight Howard did not exactly have the best year of his career during his single season with the Los Angeles Lakers. As a matter of fact, many believed that to have been a failed experiment, which led to Howard walking away from the Purple and Gold the following summer as a free agent. Nevertheless, the forgettable season he had with the Lakers does not make him think any less of former teammate Kobe Bryant, who Howard actually thinks is better than the great Michael Jordan.

That's a pretty bold statement right there from Howard, which surely will stir the pot in the GOAT debate. However, considering how he and Kobe reportedly never got on the same page speaks volumes of Howard's opinion on the Laker great. He may have not liked him on a personal level, but perhaps the year they spent together as teammates was enough to prove to Howard that in his mind, Kobe is indeed the GOAT.

For his part, though, Howard had another forgettable year for the Wizards last season, marred by injury and some nasty rumors about his personal life. The former three-time Defensive Player of the Year was only able to suit up for Washington in nine games this year, and he has been working hard to get back into game shape for the upcoming season.

The 33-year-old will be entering a contract year, and this will definitely be a career-defining season for Howard as he hopes to further extend his tenure in the NBA.
