Michael Jordan is one of the greatest instigators in league history. Aside from being a phenomenal superstar, the former Chicago Bulls legend is well-known for his trash-talking ability. He's well-known to fire up both his teammates and opponents with his words and actions. Well, apparently that carried over to his days with the Washington Wizards.

Gilbert Arenas recently went on a podcast to talk about an epic Michael Jordan story with the Washington Wizards. Apparently, Jordan talked so much smack against his players that he inadvertently caused a brawl between his current team and, ironically, the Bulls. Just listen to this gem of a story from Arenas. Oh boy. It's completely on-brand for Jordan to berate his teammates: who could forget the stories from the Last Dance documentary. However, Arenas is alleging that the ex-Wizards president's words lit a fire under Brendan Haywood, causing him to start the brawl against the Bulls. I guess that's exactly the type of reaction Jordan would want from his players.

The Wizards could probably need a little of that Jordan motivation for the next season. Despite having a lot of talent in their previous rosters, they have been unable to make it deep into the playoffs. Perhaps a little tough love from the GOAT will be the fuel that sparks the comeback of the Wizards.

With Bradley Beal set to return next season, maybe it will be finally the year for the Wizards.
