For Washington Wizards star guard John Wall, his colleagues in the NBA are too chummy these days. While he isn't exactly against this type of fraternizing, Wall has no plans of joining the social bandwagon.

Wall appeared on the No Chill with Gilbert Arenas show where he sounded off on the so-called softness of the league.

“A lot of guys be too friendly now. (Earlier) they weren’t friendly, they trying to rip each other head off. Now it’s like guys buddy-buddy.”

He capped off observation with a bold admission.

“I ain’t got no friends.”

The interview actually occurred within the vicinity of a basketball court where John Wall is with fellow NBA players for pickup games. Arenas echoed the sentiments of the former Kentucky standout, noting that the mission for players in the offseason is to always get better, not to gain more friends.

The 30-year-old Wall explained he visits gyms all across the US not just to test out his skills, but also to see where his competition is at. Over the past few days, he has been spotted playing pickup games with the likes of James Harden, Michael Beasley, Andre Drummond, and PJ Tucker. Last month, he was spotted in California playing some hoops with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and some members of the Brooklyn Nets.

Sources reveal that John Wall is back to his old explosive self with a newly improved three-point shot to boot. He missed all of last season after undergoing surgery for his left Achilles. The Wizards only won 25 games and missed the NBA Playoffs. But from the looks of it, Wall is more than ready for his much-awaited return.
