Russell Westbrook once again produced numbers in his third straight game for the Washington Wizards, notching yet another triple-double versus the Chicago Bulls at the Capital One Arena on Tuesday. The Wizards, however, dropped their fourth consecutive game to open the season following a 107-115 setback.

After notching 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists in a losing effort, Westbrook to join Hall of Fame guard Oscar Robertson as the only players to record a triple-double in their first three games of the season. The Big O notched the feat back in the 1961-62 season as a member of the Cincinnati Royals.

As impressive as Russ' latest achievement was, he continues to be a subject for criticism for his inability to lead his team to victory despite getting huge numbers. The Wizards actually had no problems on offense as Westbrook's backcourt mate Bradley Beal put up a game-high 29 points, while sharpshooter Davis Bertans added 20 more. The Wizards' defensive effort, however, was putrid for most of the night, allowing six Bulls players to score double-digits led by Zach LaVine's 23 points.

Westbrook, meanwhile, has already taken accountability for their earlier struggles. The former MVP has been labeled as a stat-padder in the past, with most pundits chiding him for allegedly not buying into the concept of team basketball.

While it's unfair to rest the Wizards' shortcomings on one man's shoulders, their losing streak while Brodie gets his numbers is certainly not a good look.

Russell Westbrook and the Wizards will have a quick rematch against the Bulls on Friday in hopes of finally nailing their first win of the season.
