Washington Wizards star Spencer Dinwiddie found a way to make his interesting championship bonus with the team even more interesting. Dinwiddie's 3-year deal worth $62 million had quite a unique caveat – if the Wizards end up winning a championship, the 28-year-old will get a $1 championship bonus.

And, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic, Dinwiddie added a new stipulation that that $1 bonus should be paid in 100 pennies.

Now that's hilarious.

Obviously, the Washington Wizards front office shouldn't lose sleep over this. Despite the fact that the initial championship fine print in Dinwiddie's contract is already insane, the new-look DC-based squad isn't really title contenders in the upcoming 2021-2022 NBA season. But, if they do end up shocking the entire basketball world, at least they know that they won't have to break the bank just to pay off their new point guard.

As it seems, Dinwiddie is bringing something new to the table upon his arrival in Washington. Aside from being quite the reliable point guard in his time with the Brooklyn Nets, the California native has been known to be quite the investor. Dinwiddie has been known to dabble in the crypto space from time to time and even mentioned that lobbying Bitcoin is definitely on his agenda when he arrives in Washington.

“I think I'll possibly be the first point guard in D.C. to lobby Senators about Bitcoin,” Dinwiddie said on Monday (via Chase Hughes of NBCS).

Clearly, Dinwiddie has everything covered when it comes to his money and finances. Whether he's getting paid in crypto or pennies, the point guard knows what he wants and is definitely not shy from asking it.
