Conor McGregor isn't a fan of Wrestlemania… or the WWE in general. The UFC superstar has long been vocal on how he's better than the roster of the pro wrestling show. Amid the yearly event, McGregor once again took a swipe at the WWE with an “explanation” as to why he isn't there.
In a seemingly unprovoked tweet, McGregor defiantly claimed that the WWE didn't invite him to Wrestlemania because everyone was scared of him. That's an interesting explanation, to say the least.
“Why wasn’t I at Wrestlemania? They all fear me, that’s why.”

Some former and current WWE superstars replied to McGregor's tweet, including Becky Lynch, who performed during Day 1 of Wrestlemania yesterday.
Hey man. I could have used you. Bianca brought an army. Next year?

There have been MMA stars who have transitioned to being part of the WWE's extensive roster. Brock Lesnar, for example, has performed multiple times during Wrestlemania, and even held the title at some point. Ronda Rousey is another notable name.
However, there's probably another factor why McGregor isn't being invited to Wrestlemania… or any other WWE event for that matter. At it's core, professional wrestling is a performance, not a competition. It's basically an open secret amongst older fans at this point that most of the actions done by the wrestlers are staged and aren't meant to cause significant harm. Perhaps the WWE thinks that McGregor's competitive nature can ruin the show.
Still, maybe there's a chance at McGregor appears at a WWE event one of these days. The story line of McGregor finally stepping in the ring after dissing some of its stars will be satisfying to watch for long-time WWE fanatics. For now, though, McGregor will be prepping for his own UFC fight.
