The late Leon White, popularly known as Big Van Vader or just Vader, is finally heading to the WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE itself confirmed the decision to Bleacher Report, noting that Vader will be inducted in the Class of 2022. The Undertaker headlines the Hall of Fame class, with the ceremony set on April 1 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The event will be part of the WrestleMania Week.

Vader had a wrestling career that spanned from his debut in the American Wrestling Association in 1985 to his retirement in 2012. As Bleacher Report highlighted, he worked under the biggest promotions around the globe, including the Catch Wrestling Association (Europe), All Japan Pro Wrestling and New-Japan Pro Wrestling (Japan), Universal Wrestling Association (Mexico), and World Championship Wrestling.

He is best remembered for his epic maneuver, the Vadersault.

Unfortunately, Vader passed away in 2018 due to pneumonia. However, at that time, he was already dealing with multiple health problems. As Sports Illustrated noted at the time, he was given just two years to live because of a congestive heart failure.

While it is saddening that Vader won't be able to see himself and hear his name in the WWE Hall of Fame induction, the recognition is a clear proof that his legacy and contributions to the game live on.
