When John Cena isn't playing the Peacemaker, appearing in commercials, or making his way back to the WWE Universe for events like the Cena Celebration on RAW, he does normal things like you, me, and everyone else. He cooks dinner, watches TV, and when he feels up to it, relentlessly posts memes on his must-follow Instagram account.

And oh yeah, when he finds the love of his life, in his case, Shay Shariatzadeh, he gets married in order to make things officially official.

Normal stuff, right? Well, Cena had the unfortunate luck of choosing to get married during the pandemic and thus, never got a chance to have a proper wedding without things like masks and in-room attendance limits. While some folks may lament that decision forever or opt to renew their vows at some point down the line, Cena found a little time away from his incredibly busy schedule to get that out of the way right away, not even two years after they tied the knot in October of 2020.

Hey, when your time is as scheduled as Cenas, which you can listen to him talk about via an appearance at SXSW here, you do what you've gotta do.

All things considered, this is fantastic news for “The Champ;” he's in the middle of the most prolific period of his career outside of the wrestling ring, and considering his wife works in Vancouver, he now gets to spend a ton more time with her thanks to his show, Peacemaker Season 2, shooting in the British Columbia city. Great news for everyone involved other than Austin Theory, who still wants a match.
