CC Sabathia is celebrating his birthday today and received plenty of birthday wishes. The 2007 AL Cy Young Award winner got a wholesome birthday shoutout from his former teammate on the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter.

There's one little issue with Jeter's post, though: that isn't his former teammate's real age. Sabathia, who is actually turning 42 years old today, let Jeter know that he's not that old yet. The former star pitcher called Jeter out for his antics.

In addition to correcting Jeter, Sabathia said that he would delete the Yankees legend's account and told him to go back to watching his documentary, The Captain. He was there with Jeter for the debut of the docuseries, which he has continually praised.

Sabathia and Jeter played together on the Yankees for six seasons, winning the 2009 World Series. Jeter retired in 2014 and Sabathia played for the Yankees for five more seasons. The two former stars love to tease each other, so it's likely Jeter said the wrong age on purpose rather than accidentally.

Derek Jeter and CC Sabathia have remained close following their playing days. When Jeter left the Miami Marlins front office, Sabathia explained that Jeter left behind a very promising team full of young talent like Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Although Sabathia's stellar career started in Cleveland (who also wished him well on his birthday) he remains a fan favorite in The Bronx and loves the Yankees dearly. His Twitter profile picture shows himself in a Yankees jersey and he paid visits to each of the team's All-Stars earlier this week.
