The Arizona Cardinals may have had a miserable three-win campaign in 2018, but they are entering a new year full of excitement thanks to a new quarterback in Kyler Murray and a group of young receivers that certainly has some promise.

Of course, the Cardinals are still a long way away from contending, but they at least should be better than the absolute dumpster fire they were this past year.

For a young team like Arizona, training camp is pivotal, as that is when rookies and young players battle for starting jobs and separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

So, here are the three Cardinals players with the most to gain in training camp:

3. Chase Edmonds

The Cardinals used a fourth-round pick on Chase Edmonds last year, but because Arizona's offense was so horrendous, the running game wasn't even able to get off the ground.

The production of both David Johnson and Edmonds suffered, with Edmonds rushing for just 208 yards and a couple of touchdowns while averaging 3.5 yards per carry.

But with more weapons on offense this time around and an offensive line that should be better, the Cardinals might be able to revitalize their rushing attack in 2019, and Edmonds will be a part of that.

Yes, Johnson is still the No. 1 back, and Edmonds doesn't seem to be in any danger of losing the backup role, but it would be nice for him to have a great training camp and preseason in order for him to establish his confidence going into the regular season.

2. Ricky Seals-Jones

Ricky Seals-Jones is entering his third NFL season, and in 2018, he actually wasn't bad in spite of Arizona's pitiful offense, hauling in 34 receptions for 343 yards and a touchdown.

Now, with the Cardinals seeming to have more of a sense of direction offensively, Seals-Jones may see more opportunities in 2019.

But here is the thing: he may have to beat out veteran tight end Charles Clay, whom Arizona signed this offseason, for the starting role, so Seals-Jones may have to show out in training camp to land the No. 1 spot.

The 24-year-old absolutely figures to be in the team's future plans, so it would be wise for Kliff Kingsbury to prioritize him over the 30-year-old Clay, but Seals-Jones is still going to have to prove himself.

1. Andy Isabella

The Cardinals drafted three wide receivers back in April, and Andy Isabella was at the top of the list, as Arizona took him in the second round. The Cards later picked up Hakeem Butler and KeeSean Johnson.

Isabella is expected to be the slot receiver with Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald on the outside, but just because he was the first wideout selected by the Cardinals does not necessarily mean he is going to win a significant role outright.

He is still going to need to impress Kingsbury and Co. in training camp, as Butler and former Chicago Bears first-round pick Kevin White both seem to be options in the No. 3 receiver role.

Isabella had a monster collegiate career at UMass, but UMass is not the NFL. He'll need to prove his worth in order to completely win over the coaching staff heading into 2019.
