The Tennessee Titans might have had the worst loss of the NFL season. They lost 22-13 to the 2-8 Houston Texans. The Texans came into this one on an eight-game losing streak.
Tennessee is battling some tough injuries and not having the best running back in the NFL in Derrick Henry certainly doesn't help. No matter if Derrick Henry is playing or not, there's no excuse for the Tennessee offense to put up 13 points against the Houston Texans. The Texans are arguably the worst team in football and this is a game that Tennessee should be winning by 21 plus points and have their starters out by the fourth quarter. It's an embarrassing loss for the Titans but they still are in first place of the AFC South so it doesn't hurt as bad.
Let's take a look at some takeaways from the Titans week 11 loss.

Titans Week 11 Takeaways
3. It's just a bad loss but it doesn't hurt that bad
Any loss for the Tennessee Titans is disappointing considering that they are a team with Super Bowl aspirations. At the end of the day, the Titans are still in first place of the AFC South and maybe this loss was a wake-up call for them that they need to step up a bit with Derrick Henry's absence.
It's an ugly loss for the Titans but they need to flush it and just take care of business because it's over with. They do have a tough schedule coming up as they are taking on an interesting New England Patriots team, a sneaky Miami Dolphins team, as well as the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers who could sneak away victories if the Titans don't play as well as they can.
Right now the only thing that the Titans can do is control their own destiny and go out and solidify first place in their division.
Article Continues Below2. Ryan Tannehill's worst game as a professional
Ryan Tannehill had a disastrous game for the Titans. He finished with four interceptions. To put this into perspective, Ryan Tannehill came into the game with only four interceptions through 10 games. This isn't something that's going to happen very often and it was just a hiccup. Tannehill has been very serviceable on the season as he has over 2,300 yards, 12 touchdowns, and the eight best QBR in the NFL.
If the Titans want to make a deep playoff run there are going to need Ryan Tannehill to step up in Derrick Henry's absence. It's going to be a lot harder for Tannehill to do what he can do because the run game is not going to be as good without Henry there. We have seen some impressive things that Tannehill can do and for the Titans to succeed, he's going to need to do just that.
1. The loss of Derrick Henry is really starting to show
This was expected but it was not expected that it will be shown against a team like the Houston Texans. When you lose arguably the best running back in the NFL, your team is going to struggle.
The Titans are going to need to figure this out and try to at least have a serviceable run game in the future to open up their offense.
There's no other way of putting this besides that it was a horrible loss. The only thing that the Titans can do from now on is control their own destiny and take care of the ball games that they need to take care of.
