Dez Bryant still hasn’t signed on with a new team since being cut by the Dallas Cowboys. The wide receiver voiced his desire to join any of the Cowboys’ rivals within the NFC East shortly after his release, but none were interested in him. And now, Bryant apparently has his sights set on joining another historic Dallas rival: the San Francisco 49ers.

As Niners Nation notes, a fan recently asked Bryant on Instagram which team he wanted to sign for. Bryant simply replied: “49ers.” He quickly deleted the comment. Luckily, though, there's a receipt.

The market for Bryant has dried up pretty considerably. Aside from the Baltimore Ravens, no other team has shown much interest in the former All-Pro wideout. Jason Witten recently linked his former Cowboys teammate with the Green Bay Packers, but Aaron Rodgers shot that suggestion down.

Even if there are some teams still interested in his services, they may not be willing to pay him what he feels he’s worth or else he likely would’ve signed there by now.

The 49ers just spent a second-rounder to draft a wide receiver in Dante Pettis. They also have Trent Taylor, who is likely to take on a bigger role after impressing as a rookie last season.

Although, San Francisco is still lacking a truly third reliable target behind their top two receivers, Pierre Garcon and Marquise Goodwin. Bryant offers a different skill set to Garcon and Goodwin and could provide a much-needed red-zone target for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

However, it still remains to be seen whether the 49ers would even be interested in the veteran’s services. If not, then Bryant’s list of potential destinations gets even shorter.
